Help for overeating

Hi my name is Mel, I am a over eater!!!

I never knew there was help for this, I need help to get past my sick and twisted love and need for food.

  1. Dear Mel,
This is certainly a treatable problem. On this site are suggestions on how you might begin to demonstrate to yourself that you can turn the corner on this problem. Try using in the Tools for change section—the Bulimia and Compulsive overeating worksheet, addressing issues and getting a support person to encourage you when you are addressing conflicts.

Also, my book, Enduring Change in Eating Disorders–while its a professional book, it has many narratives of people that over came eating disorders–with long term follow-up provided.
    Best regards,
    Charles Fishman

  • Hello Charles! I am unsure if you will even remember who I am haha, but this is [name withheld] – I saw you in (I think) 2017 with anorexia.

  • My wife and I felt quite emotional last Monday after our short Zoom session. All three of us hugged. It felt like the end of a relatively short but profoundly enriching journey with you which started in June at your home office on Waiheke Island.

  • Dear Dr Fishman Thank you so much for this website. I have a long history of swinging between bulimia and compulsive over-eating. I am currently a compulsive over-eater.
